Amateur Radio and GMRS

In the tradition of Amateur Radio mentoring, this site may offer some help to other Amateurs learning the hobby's intricate technical nuances.   A unique mix of fun, public service, technical experimentation, and sharing knowledge are distinguishing characteristics of Amateur Radio.

Although hams become involved in the hobby for many reasons, they all have in common a basic knowledge of radio technology, regulations and operating principles, demonstrated by passing an examination for a license to operate on radio frequencies.
